“Leaving sincere reviews is often difficult for a service such as a property management company. Their job is to regulate groups of individuals, and as such they must be the bad guys sometimes… Sequoia is vigilant with assessing violations. My belief is that this should be expected with any management company. Additionally, I haven’t found Sequoia to be difficult to contact or work with. As with any issue that requires correspondence, email is usually the best method, and my community manager, Lisa McBride, has always been responsive. My intent was to leave an honest review rather than an emotional response. Of course it’s no fun to pay increasing dues, receive violation notices, etc. but this is the nature of the business… based on what should be expected from a company tasked with enforcing rules in a community with standards, I feel they do their jobs competently and honestly.”

“Earlier this month my partner and I sold a home in Crossroads Village in Gainesville. From the day it was listed until the closing date was less than three weeks. Toward the end of the process, we discovered that the owners had several HOA issues they had not been aware of. They had not applied for four changes and needed to get approval in time for settlement. It was very important to both the sellers and the buyers to close on the date in the contract, but we had only days to resolve the issues, and the board was not set to meet in time. Monica Ruiz turned out to be a life-saver. She went out of her way to help us, working as a liaison to the board members and smoothing our way as much as possible.
