We provide the proper contractor recommendations, manage all aspects of your community property, property maintenance, perform assignments delegated by the board, investigate and handle disputes and resolutions, facilitate in reviewing your community or building budgets, track expenses, make routine visits to ensure that your property is safe and properly maintained, and assist with insurance and legal issues. We anticipate your needs so that you may focus on other matters.

We provide a dedicated manager and assistant to every property. Our experienced and efficient representatives attend board meetings and guide your committee in your decision-making. Because of our ongoing training and industry knowledge, we are able to lead you in making the best decisions regarding your property’s unique challenges. Sequoia manages your property on a weekly basis. Our presence ensures that your property is cared for properly. Sequoia personnel currently work with homeowner, town home, and condominium associations to manage more than 105 residential communities composed of more than 32,487 homes, as well as 21 commercial buildings and associations representing over nearly 162,244 square feet of commercial space. Sequoia Management strongly upholds a code of ethics and stays current on industry bylaws and standards and practices to assist you to make the best possible decisions for your community.

At Sequoia, we provide our property and community managers continuing education to keep them current on the latest trends in real estate management. Our Sequoia professionals are members of the Community Associations Institute, the Virginia Association of Community Managers, the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Building Owners and Managers Institute which assists us in keeping our staff well-trained and qualified in managing your community and business. Three of the communities we manage have won Community Association of the Year Awards.

I did not run for another term on the Board of the Westmoreland Square Homes Association — six years was enough — so I am no longer the Board President. I did want to thank Sequoia for all the work Larry Gilbert, Vanessa Lopez, and Rosemary Aruajo have done for us over the past three years. I have appreciated Larry’s vast experience, sound judgment, and sense of humor. Vanessa is helpful, especially with architectural control applications. Rosemary has been diligent with our meeting minutes.  You may not get a lot of compliments in your job, but these are well deserved.
